Title: Does it need lots of testing? (Re: WeatherCat V1.0.2)
Post by: elagache on July 16, 2012, 10:17:51 PM
Howdy Stu and WeatherCat fans,

Sorry, things a little crazy around here so didn't get back to this until now.

Stu, where should we be putting our testing effort?  Just looking at the Change-log, 1.0.2 looks like a relatively minor update.  Would you prefer that we all still put it through the ringer, or are you happy with the results so far and would prefer that some of us keep "taunting" 1.1 Beta?

Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

1.1 if you can. 1.0.2 primarily adds code signing to the client - it wasn't signed previously and would refuse to open on 10.8 as the default for 10.8 is 'Apple and recognised third party developers'. So 1.0.2 was mainly just a maintenance release to get the certificate on the client - it also included the heat index change which had previously been tested.

Hope this helps,
Stu.

It's in, and it's running.  It even survived the quarter day power outage and multiple short power losses we've had for the last couple of days.

Coming up to 100,000 data points now with no problems. I have had 120 sensor error, so I must look in to that, but no Comms error. Well done really happy with this version.

Best wishes
