I suspect a 64bit version is going to be necessary soon of WC.

Weatheraardvark:
After watching that Apple is going to launch a lot of changes for the new release of MACOS in the fall, it should be time to upgrade to a 64 bit version.

Blicj11:
Fortunately, WeatherCat has a 64-bit product with version 3.0. Many of us have been using it successfully since its release in March 2018. The latest release of the software is 64-bit version 3.04 build 91, which was released in January of this year. I agree with Weatheraardvark; it is, indeed, time to upgrade.

Weatheraardvark:
from what I have read there are a lot of changes coming to the operating system MacOS Catalina  and it won't support 32 bit.  Yeah,  we don't need to upgrade, but  looking about, Davis Instruments has got off the wagon, and having their data be on their weatherlinklive site, and no longer updating their desktop version.   There is little software out that support Macs with weather. Time to upgrade,https://www.cnet.com/news/apple-wwdc-2019-ios-13-dark-mode-mac-pro-macos-10-15-and-everything-apple-just-announced/

BTW, got a kick out of the Apple note accompanying the developer download of new iPadOS 13 beta:

"[This version is intended exclusively for software developers...] Important Note for Thrill Seekers: If you're interested in living on the edge and trying out the the great new features in iPadOS 13, we strongly advise waiting for the many bug fixes and refinements coming to the public beta next month." They know from past experience it takes about a nanosecond for the mobile developer versions to show up on the torrents.   >:(

Felix:
And Stu et al. will have to comply with the Catalina's new software notarization requirement. Thought I worked around it on my test mule but then the entire OS locked up. There's a lot of under-the-hood changes here which will have to be sorted out before the public beta can even be released.

I bet you one thing, the adoption rate of Catalina isn't going to be nearly what it was for Mojave for the first many months, so you won't hear Cook broadcasting that statistic a year from now at the next WWDC. This notarization processs applies to apps as well as installers. The process is not particularly onerous but past history has shown there will be a ton of developers, large and small, who will wait until the 11th hour and/or just feign ignorance of the requirement.

Of course, we won't see that here.
