Saw another "Error 1000" 'too many files to upload' report from WC this morning. Looking at Cosole I found several problems with CWOP. Specifically:
7/22/17 8:22:11.098 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: Starting connection...
7/22/17 8:22:11.125 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: Trying to connect to cwop.aprs.net.
...
7/22/17 8:22:41.234 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: DNS lookup failed. Host cwop.aprs.net is not known.
7/22/17 8:22:41.262 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: Trying to connect to first.aprs.net.
7/22/17 8:23:11.377 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: DNS lookup failed. Host first.aprs.net is not known.

7/22/17 8:23:41.546 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: Trying to connect to third.aprs.net.

7/22/17 8:24:11.687 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: Trying to connect to fourth.aprs.net.
...
7/22/17 8:24:41.809 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: DNS lookup failed. Host fourth.aprs.net is not known.
7/22/17 8:24:41.841 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: ***FAILED***
7/22/17 8:24:41.870 AM WeatherCat[515]: CWOP: Next transmission in 30 seconds.
...
I didn't even know there were four different aprs nets!
Is this CWOP failure to respond more common than I would think/want?
While these failures were ~8 minutes before the FTP Overload error, could they have been part of the problem? Console seems to be less user-friendly in macOS 10.12 Sierra, but Ill go back and see if I can find a more specific cause for today's over-load problem. I do know it is not the converted video files I've tested lately. ;)

Dear X-Air and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

Yes, something is wrong and most likely the trouble is with your ISP's domain name server. Normally your ISP is supposed to provide DNS service and clearly it wasn't working properly. I had similar trouble with Comcast and finally gave up on them and purchased an independent service from OpenDNS:
https://www.opendns.com/ (https://www.opendns.com/)
Hopefully you won't have to do that, but I can report that our setup is much more reliable with OpenDNS than it ever was with Comcast.
Cheers, Edouard
