Hi,
I live in the Netherlands and am very pleased to see someone is writing some good weather station s/w for the Mac. I've used Weatherlink, Cumulus and LWC in the past and am very interested in Weathercat.
Want to try the beta but need to get past this issue before I can...
I've had LWC2 2.1.1 build 50 running on a Mac 10.6.8 using an IP connection from a Windows XP machine which has a serial connection to the VP2. The Windows box is running Virtual VP (and Weatherlink 5.7.1). This worked fine, until I upgraded my Mac to Lion, i.e. 10.7.3. Since then I can start LWC2 (or Weathercat) but during initialisation get a window popping up with the message:
"Invalid Rain Collector Configuration
Your Vantage is reporting the rain collector is set to 0.1mm. This is an invalid configuration. Please change it to either 0.01 inches or 0.2mm's."
... and I have to Quit LWC.
Obviously the Rain Collector config is correctly set to .2mm on the VP2, so seems there is an issue with the Autodetect? I'm aware of the Termincal command to force LWC2 to .01 inch and this prevents the error message but of course results in wrong data.
A clean install, and replacing LWC2 with the latest Weathercat beta makes no difference. Same problem occurs.
Not sure if this is a bug.
Any tips/hints/ideas?
Many thanks,
Jos
P.S. I realize this may not be the right topic to post this but it seems I have no access elsewhere.
