They're out to GET your weather station!!
« on: September 05, 2013, 07:46:42 PM »
Dear WeatherCat station operators,

This morning I was scrambling to do the early morning watering when I noticed something that just begged a photograph:

Don't think them little beasties are out to get your station instruments!!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

P.S. Is it now clear why I keep my rain gauge capped off during the summer months?

Hi Randall and WeatherCat fans,

You mean you have  [snowflake]  in California

It is rare but we do get a dusting of snow once every few years.  Certainly the conditions don't favor it though and it would never be enough to need to cover the rain gauge.  I definitely like the cover in the summertime though.  We had a threat of monsoonal rain during August so I had to take the cover off just in case.  As a result, I was constantly having to get rid of flowers from a nearby Locust tree that were falling into the gauge.  For all that nuisance we didn't get a drop.

Oh well,

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
