How to Sample a process using OS X Activity Monitor.

Dear WeatherCat troubleshooters,

When any OS X application becomes hung, you can help the developer figure out what is wrong by taking a Sample of the application process using Activity Monitor.  I just found this very short and well-done description on how to do that.  Since we need to explain how to do this from time to time and there is no point in reinvesting the wheel, I'm posting a link to this description here:

Having just a link doesn't seem right for the Wiki, but making this a sticky topic will make sure it doesn't get lost as things all too frequently do on a forum.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
