Howdy from Texas
« on: July 13, 2014, 12:25:50 AM »
Hey,

Thought I would post a slight modification to the standard WeatherCat template that resizes the graphs and gauges.  I have a variety of computers with different screen sizes and switching from one to the other was not fluid so I made the pages fluid.

Before I post however, it is always customary to introduce one's self.

My name is Len and I live in south Texas.  I have a La Crosse WS-2315 running on my mac mini server (OS X Snow Leopard Server).  I am sure that somewhere along the line a comment or two will be forthcoming on my choice of weather stations and before that happens, I agree with you. Wanna trade!

Welcome Len! I lived in Texas for 30 years before the weather drove me out.

I moved to Texas because of the weather.  I was raised in the snow and developed an adamant distaste for cold weather.

To each, his own. We lived through one too many hurricanes on the Gulf Coast and fled to the mountains for all the snow and cold weather we could stand (which is a lot).

As you say, "To each his own". I have had more than my share of 70+mph blizzards and I have yet to get hit by a hurricane here on the coast. Just lucky I guess.

I've lived in Michigan (at least it was south of Detroit) Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Iowa, Tennessee and Florida due to my occupation as an Instrument Technician contractor. No place is perfect, but they all have their own charm, now don't they?

Weather wise, I think it's just a matter of being caught in the right place at the wrong time. This ole world is just not always a friendly place. In fact, sometimes for seasonal extremes, it can seem quite hostile!

But, what do you want, safety or adventure?
