Twitter Stopped / SSL Issue
« on: November 18, 2019, 09:43:09 PM »
My Twitter posting from WeatherCat stopped awhile ago, with a SSL error. This may be due to the SSL libraries being outdated in Yosemite.

Code: [Select]
10/28/19 12:00:26.572 PM WeatherCat[82451]: Authentication error: Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1200 "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made." UserInfo=0x6100003a9760 {_kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=3, NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion=Would you like to connect to the server anyway?, _kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-9806, NSUnderlyingError=0x618001451520 "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.", NSErrorPeerCertificateChainKey=(

The mac that is running WeatherCat is running 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Is there a workaround for the SSL issues in Yosemite?

Dear socalbobb and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

Since this is your first posting, welcome to the WeatherCat forum!

. . . . .

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any remedy to the problem you are observing than to upgrade your version of macOS.  Any chance this Mac could be upgraded to the next version of macOS which I believe was El Capitan?

Cheers, Edouard
