Daily Records and Custom Web Site
« on: October 28, 2013, 07:13:15 PM »
Hello,

With tomorrow being the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy and my station's recording of a 28.23in (956mb) pressure I got to thinking about adding a section to my custom website for daily records comparing the current day to the past years.  I know with the STATS option you can do an alltime option and separately specifying a date range, but what about a specific day from past calendar years (i.e. all October 29) to come up with the high/low values?

Any ideas on how to do this or if it is even possible?

Thanks!

Hi All,

In case anyone stumbles onto this thread, I did find a solution to showing my station records on my website.  Please see AstroSteve's thread (http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=1096.msg9220#msg9220) for creating NOAA style files.  It will require the use of MySQL but in the end you can create some very nice statistics for your website.  See http://www.cecilweather.com/wxtempdetail.php and http://www.cecilweather.com/wxnoaarecords.php as examples for what you can do with the help of that tread.

Since the tread in question is under the Weather General Discussion and not Web Templates it is easy to miss.  If there are questions, please post them to that tread.

Enjoy!

Jay

Here is another example of a very clean and easy to read format for displaying records and statistics:
