Blooming branches here too. January has been the coldest month in Switzerland in 30 years.

Uh, not the same kind of blooming Irving!
Believe it or not there is a third plum tree in that area that has started to bloom. What makes it even more strange is that all these trees are in the shelter of much taller trees at the edge of a creek. Other nearby plum trees that have sunshine show absolutely no signs of blooming. It has to be the proximity to that creek that is in part responsible for the early blooming.

I'm afraid we are in the same boat. The extra moisture will be greatly appreciated come summer, but for now all the storms is just that much more hassle.
