Dear WeatherCat cinematographers,
My venerable USB Logitech webcam is no longer responding in spite of a number of attempts to coax it back to life. I just took a quick look at the market and there are a ton of USB webcams out spanning a wide range of prices. I would like to grab something simple and not to expensive to get my webcam image back on line. Someday I still hope to get a proper outdoor camera, so I don't want to put too much time or money into this band-aid. Does anybody has some experience with USB webcams that would help me narrow the field a bit?
Thanks,
Edouard

I take it you are not interested in built-in IR, audio nor HD video?
If so, there's a ton of USB webcams in that category but I don't have experience with any of them. Hopefully you'll get some suggestions.
