Showcase Your Banner!
« on: April 21, 2012, 06:47:38 PM »
We've set up a slide-show of live banners on the Trixology pages ( http://trixology.com ). These banners will appear on at least the main page and the WeatherCat product page when it becomes operational.

If you have a web-site driven by WeatherCat and would like to see your banner displayed on our pages, either drop me a PM or reply in this thread.

Terms and conditions:
1. We need the link to your banner and the link to your weather pages (the banners link to the relevant site).
2. If the URL to your banner or site changes, please let us know as soon as possible.
3. Your web-site must be driven by WeatherCat.
4. We reserve the right to not add a banner. All submissions will be reviewed to ensure they are appropriate.
5. We reserve the right to remove a banner from the display at any time.
6. All banners are displayed for 10 seconds in a rotating format. The first banner shown when a user lands on the page is chosen at random.
7. We do not guarantee any 'hits' from your banner.
8. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.

If you have any questions, please post in this thread.

Finally, a big thanks to Edouard and Steve for coming up with and getting this idea off the ground a few weeks back [tup]

Cheers,
Stu.

Howdy Stu and WeatherCat fans,  [cat]

I just checked out the banner display on the main trixology site and sure looks nifty!!   [bounce]

Anyone thinking about submitting your banner may want to see the banners so far submitted appear on the trixology site.  It might give you some inspiration.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

P.S. Thanks Steve for doing the Internet legwork to find the JavaScript to make the banner slideshow work!!

I'm happy to have helped out! For anyone wanting to do something similar, the script is one I adapted from Dynamic Drive, and in particular, is the one called Ultimate Fade-In. It is the same script I have been using in both manual and automatic mode in my weather maps for several months now. See the Surface analysis and Real-Time maps here for how it can work. http://www.avon-weather.com/maps-radar.html

Now to substitute some porn into my banner.  [wink]

My Banner is a picture of the river from one of our favorite campgrounds.

All added, thank you.

Now to substitute some porn into my banner.  [wink]

 [biggrin]

By the way: Can't see your banner, Stu?

My banner was there for testing but has been removed now. The idea is to promote sites run by users - people will land on the WeatherCat page & see those banners being rotated. Potential customers can browse WC driven sites easily and quickly.

Cheers,
Stu.

Looking for more banners - if you want yours rotating on the main site pages (http://trixology.com) post here or P.M. me - I've got two, maybe three slots available. See the first post in this thread for all the details  [tup]
