Got a notice that a new version was available, ran to the Flight Test app and it installed 1.5 (160626). Frankly don't know if that's actually the newest version, but that's what show in the iPhone/WeatherCat/Settings page.
For some unknown reason, I found that WiFi was turned OFF on my iPhone! I assumed that may have been the cause of my first un-responsiveness of the app. I actually did appear to be getting data from
Stu's server. But could not get anything from my "Local" nor the "Hopefulhill" site.
After turning WiFi back on, I cannot get anything but the "Checking the connection..." message with any of the three sites selected. I'll try a reboot...
Update:
Using "Local":
The display shows a blank bar until under the "9" in the external temperature 89.2?F. The 'mini' bar, with a
orange dot at the end stops just past the end of the text.
The blank bar is much shorter in the Internal temperature 79.0?F. It starts a bit farther along the 'bar' than the External one, but is barely long enough to show the
orange dot.
Using
Stu's server: No contact after 5 mins. I'll shut down WC and see if that helps...
OK, made contact. However, the mini bar starts under the "a" in temperature and runs to almost the end of the "u". The
orange dot is in the approximate middle of the "bar". Is he
orange dot supposed to indicate the current value while the length of the bar show the maximum? Is the length of the bar showing the range of values for X hours?
The mini bar for the Internal temp is not quite long enough to display the whole
orange dot. No, wait, the whole dot is showing but the 'bar' starts to the right of the left edge of the dot by several pixels.
Using the hopefulhill server: waiting for contact, Scotty! We need more power, Zulu!
OK, I'll use the Shutdown/Reopen app procedure...
That worked again. It seems the app can't "let go" of the current connection in order to try the new setting.
This time, the mini 'bar' is much longer, starts between the "a" and the "t" and runs past the end of the text. The
orange dot is at the extreme right-hand end of the bar. Actually appears to extend a few pixels past the end of the bar.
The Internal temperature 'bar' is still quite short, it starts just before the value (75.9?F) with the
orange dot directly below the "9", the 'bar' actually stops about half way into the dot.
Successfully returned to the "Local" service (without a restart).
It appears the "new iPhone graphics" are the new, shorter bars that must indicate a range of values for some time frame. I'm going to re-inable Relative pressure to see if the range is minimal...
Yep! I think I've figured out the bar length thing!
Successfully went back to
Stu's server. Maybe hopefulhill server is simply down? NOPE! It's now connecting there, also!
I guess the new bits were just cold when they came down the interweb pipes, now that they've warmed up, they seem to be working correctly!
