Mojave Patcher Tool

(1/2) > >>

wurzelmac:
Is there anybody out there who has tried this tool to get an unsupported machine running Mojave? I would like to use it on my beloved Mac mini that I upgraded to 12 GB RAM and replaced the HDD with an SSD. Should work so far, but as this machine is running WeatherCat I am unsure... So again, if there is anyone out in the desert of Mojave who has done the "hack"?  ???

Thanks for reading this post and thinking about it.

Felix:
That's probably a stretch, Reinhard, to find anyone who is running WC on this hack.

But I think I read on MacRumors (or maybe it was reddit) that people were successful turning the clock back on the Mojave hack using an earlier Time Machine save, especially ones who had done a clean install before applying the patch. That MacRumors thread is several hundred pages long, probably worth a read before you give it a try.

If you can't find it, I'll take a look later this evening.

wurzelmac:
A bootable backup (TimeMachine & SuperDuper) will sure be available if I will do the step, trust me.  ;) Thanks for your input, much appreciated!

xairbusdriver:
Also remember, Time Machine is not a bootable backup. :-[ [banghead]

wurzelmac:
Hello xair,
therefore I do an additional SuperDuper backup every now and then, and every time I do silly things as thinking of use a patcher tool.  [goofy] But I haven't done the patch, I was not brave enough so far...  [wink]
