WeatherCat's chief rival WeatherSnoop turns 4.0
« on: October 25, 2017, 11:44:10 PM »
Dear WeatherCat faithful with an eye at the competition,

WeatherCat's chief rival has come out with a new version: 4.0

http://www.tee-boy.com/

It has been supposedly rewritten to be more modular.  It uses plug-ins for weather stations now -  ;) I wonder where the developers got that idea from!  [biggrin]

It only runs on Sierra or later so it won't be as usable for hand-me-down machines dedicated to managing the weather station.

I don't think it will be stealing any WeatherCat users anytime soon, but it is worth keeping an eye on your competition!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Don't you just love "in app purchases"? I call it the "nickel and dime" method. "You want tires on all four wheels? You can buy those after you get the car." [banghead]

Competition is good. Some screen shots would be better, however. [rolleyes2] Talk is cheap. Show me, as they say in Missouri.

Competition is great for consumers. In this case, WeatherSnoop is still apparently primarily for looking at your weather data in an excellent desktop graphics package on your Mac. It is not what you want to use for uploading data to your customized website. I tried WeatherSnoop before I found my way to WeatherCat. The Cat was a good decision then and a better one now.

Comments removed. It was intended as a joke but interpreted as snarky.

I'll happily delete any snarky post brought to my attention. Don't pay much attention to anything I post unless it involves the word "FIRE"!

Attitudes/intentions/?humor? are sometimes difficult to express in plain text. At least my capabilities are not sufficient. [banghead]
