Not exactly a warm sunny June California day.
« on: June 25, 2013, 08:02:09 PM »
Dear WeatherCat fans,

As I've reported here, California is going through another year of drought.  However, June is ending in a very unusual way.  Having only got 0.04" (1mm) of rain in May, We've already gotten 0.08"  (2mm) of rain from a very odd two day rain event:

This is not the view of a California yard that you would normally expect for the end of June:

We are likely to pick up another hundredth or two, but basically it is simply a break from the heat and an opportunity to water more effectively.

We are to resume our typical weather and by the weekend head into what is forecast to be the hottest weather of the year thus far.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
