Multi-Byte Characters
« on: April 24, 2013, 06:25:43 AM »
Well... Looks like I'm the first to try using multi-byte characters in templates.  [cheer] ありがとうございます

I've attached a file called simple.ja.html which contains some very simple Japanese, and WeatherCat tags. Sadly, WeatherCat is munging the UTF-8 multi-byte characters into another character set, which of course doesn't render properly in browsers.

I scanned the previous posts looking for a clue, but only found a post from 2012 that said "UTF-8 should work in the future (v1.1)."

Any hope of moving the template generation to UTF-8 so places like Japan and China can use the templates? Any suggestions for using these now?

Thanks again!

It's not there yet, but is on the todo list.

Cheers,
