White Christmas
« on: December 25, 2015, 11:28:51 PM »
Fellow WeatherCatters:

We are having a White Christmas in the mountains of Northern Utah. More than 4 feet of snow has fallen in this storm and 67 inches this month. El Ni?o is working this month; keep it coming.

What is your weather?
Blick

No snow but perhaps frost. (Re: White Christmas)

Dear Blick and WeatherCat drought watchers,

We are having a White Christmas in the mountains of Northern Utah. More than 4 feet of snow has fallen in this storm and 67 inches this month. El Ni?o is working this month; keep it coming.

Glad you are already seeing an El Ni?o dividend!

What is your weather?

The threat of snow didn't pan out, but we are going to have a cold couple of days.  Our house is high enough that we should avoid freezing but the a lot of the San Francisco Bay area will get extremely cold.  This weather has been a bit worried with regards to El Ni?o.  It shouldn't be this cold for an El Ni?o year in our area.  Sure hope the atmospheric river gets relocated on top of us soon.

Cheers, Edouard

Steve

It was 65F and sunny yesterday here in northern Ohio! I've seen Christmas weeks where it was -25F before, so this was quite pleasant. Deb and I went for a nice walk about ten last evening in just a light jacket.

We got up to 60?F today; 40?F last night for the low. Plenty of sunshine. It has been nice for several days. I could go for some more of this, but I suspect January will be payback time.

Merry Christmas!

No White Christmas here in central England. Maximum on Christmas Day was 12.9?C. Today's temperature is currently 13.7?C, 0.1?C short of equalling our warmest December day.

In southern Sweden grey and wet, as usual. The temp this Christmas has been very warm.

But colder air is expected tonight in combination with precipitation. Maybe some sleet might be left in the early hours tomorrow morning.

December has been record warm in most parts of Europe. In the Netherlands the December moving average temperature is 6?C(!) above normal (so far). Easily the warmest December on record. [sweat2]
I just returned from the Alps where there is very little snow. Has been sunny all week with freezing level around 2500-3000m above sea level. Crazy....
