Weather Capable Camera Shortages?
« on: February 09, 2023, 10:37:02 PM »
Following the U.S., Australia says it will remove Chinese-made surveillance cameras [NPR] I wasn't even aware that the US had decided to ban these two brands of cameras. I haven't searched much lately, but "Hikvision" is a very familiar brand. My "Sharx" (Shenzhen Ogemray Technology Company, LTD) WiFi camera is working fine. As far as I know, no one in China has any info of my backyard activities... Exciting Mid-South Weather backyard video feed.
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Dear X-Air and WeatherCat webcam fans,

Following the U.S., Australia says it will remove Chinese-made surveillance cameras [NPR] I wasn't even aware that the US had decided to ban these two brands of cameras.
. . . .

Thanks for sharing.  I wasn't aware of these bans either.  Unfortunately, locating cameras suitable for WeatherCat webcams has become more difficult recently.  This could make that problem worse.
