Attached is a summary of observations taken with my Vantage Pro2 over the past couple of days -- the graph was put together using the custom graphs feature of WeatherCat.

Dear Joe and WeatherCat fans,
Thanks for sharing your graph. By all accounts it was quite a storm. Hope you have no damage in your place.
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

Wow, nice graph! How much rain did you receive in total? Like Edouard, I hope nothing bad happened.
Cheers,
Stu.

Just shy of 6.5" in total -- not much damage to speak of in our area beyond toppled trees here and there.

Hi Joe, and welcome to the WeatherCat forum,
That's surprisingly little rain compared to many reports I've read. I didn't realize it dropped of that quickly away from the coast. Here in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area, we got 7.07" of rain in the CoCoRaHS gauge during the time the storm hung around. There are still tens of thousands without electricity around here.
I'm glad you found our forum,
Steve

If you look at this map (http://tinyurl.com/cdyldtk), you'll see how quickly it falls off from the coastal areas and those directly surrounding the Chesapeake Bay.

Interesting, indeed! On the map, it shows us here on the south shore of Lake Erie with as much precipitation as east-central Maryland there where you are in Mt Airy.
